I would say a strong SEO presence will give you the back-links the search engines love, and coupled with a decent website, will net at least a trickle of calls which will spearhead the initial growth. Our website is relatively new and incomplete, but feel free to check it out.
---Outsourced IT Support Services
Different technology companies require different types of support. Some companies need to create awareness about their products and services especially if they products are for consumer use. It is obvious that they need a marketing campaign. Technology PR agencies London are capable of carrying out PR and other campaigns for such tech companies.
I own an Information Technology support company in NYC. I was thinking of targeting new businesses. I was wondering how some of you found your computer support firm? The obvious answer is word of mouth, which seems to be the main way. The problem is that not everyone has good IT support, so their recommendation might not be the best. I am looking to see if this market is a viable target. Thank you in advance for your input.

Through thorough research. I was looking for a company that specialises in data centre operations and I happened to stumble upon one of the top IT support companies in South Africa, if not Africa.
We are a technology firm ourselves. We are a Microsoft Silver Partner. We have been in business for over 13 years. I find most of my clients through word of mouth. I am a trainer so I do a lot of training. I found the client I am working with through the class. He liked my training so, he hired my company to do a migration.
I have found that it is hard to find sales people that will work on commission. So, I try to create strategic partnerships with companies. We pay pretty good $500 - 750 per student for our boot camps. We pay upwards of 30% for the consulting gigs.
If you know of anyone that is looking for another partner , then let me know. We have awesome boot camps.
You can see more about our company at http://www.microsoftcertificationcamps.com. Also, checkout this website http://www.howtoexchangeserver.com. This is a website of all about Exchange Server. Right now I have 9 videos on Exchange Server 2010. We are about to launch a series on Exchange Server 2013.
