Many owners of small business use the company credit card for personal purchase and they treat company account as their personal account. This not only cause a tax burden to them but also damage their company fluidity.

These owners must keep the personal and company account separate, because there are many chances of misunderstanding.

In my experience the biggest challenge to a small business is understanding all of the regulations and how they pertain to them.  Navigating the regulatory waters can be very daunting and frankly overwhelming.  It is key to have someone you can trust to help you through the start-up phase and beyond.  The other thing I see from an accounting standpoint is that owner's tend not to take the time to understand the accounting basics.  I'm happy to point you in the right direction if you have questions, check out my website and/or send me a message.

12Pay good point. Belive the focus on the company being more then them is at root.  Its good to pay yourself because that is what you are in buisness for but to abuse the vehicle that is making that possible can be very hurtfull.
