Should you hire a marketing expert or DIY

    What kind of business do you own? What kind of marketing the expert you hire do for you? I am asking in order to discover new ways do to marketing and reach potential customers.

    How many of the small business owners in your town are social media experts? How many of them are marketing specialists? When a small business owner puts aside a budget for marketing he usually plans to spend it on the things he perceives as “doing marketing”, things he saw the big brands do. In most cases he invests his money in the least effective channels and gets minimal return on those spendings.

    These days earning reputation through social media is the in thing. As people tend to tune out more of the marketing messages and are choosing to select the firms they get information from, social media will be the way to go in the near future.

    It's a definite trade-off. People say time is money but in reality, time is much more important than money because time is finite.

    I hire an expert for the meaty stuff and do the rest myself. Thankfully my marketer only costs £20 per month so it's no big outlay.
