Chaos theory suggests that the world is getting more chaotic day by day.....! So is your business. You have your old customer to retain and service, new customers to acquire, your staff, inventory, manufacturing etc.

To add to this, a whole new slew of communications tools have just been unleashed on the weary entrepreneur. These days, it is not sufficient to send an email, publish regular newsletter, and reach your clients via offline ads. No!.....these days, you have to blog, volg, moblog, podcast, web conference, web cast, VoIP and so on, and so on.

Most of us in the course of a day’s business have to log on to 5 or more web sites or accounts just to get our information across. One account for emails, another to blog and yet another to podcast. Even if you don`t blog or podcast, but only want to share digital images of your products and services on your website, you will need that specialist software.

There are a few companies out there looking out for us by "keeping it simple" and unified.

Which are your outstanding companies in this regards for 2006?

    Copperman,

Life is just not that chaotic to me

I believe one super key to eliminate this "choas" you speak of is organization and learning and implementing organizational skills. We all have 86,400 seconds a day to use ... IMHO, most folks just don`t use them very well.

The lack of organizational skills has created entire business niches to address the needs. And the simple solutions are right in our own heads and capabilities. But one has to have "want to" to eliminate choas and become organized.

    Just my $.02 worth/

but...time management and prioritization. Nobody actually does it though.

epeters: Your statement about time management and priortization was exactly what I was speaking about above about organizational skills and such. You might want to change "Nobody" to "the majority" or something similar because I do it and I preach it to my clients all the time ... and the ones that work on improving these skills and implementing them become better people and better business people - I have never seen it fail. It is not hard to do ... just takes "want to."

Sounds dumb and most will tell you they know it but...time management and prioritization. Nobody actually does it though. I thought it was kind of one of those things where you say DUH, but then I listened to a woman give a speech about it in my online business school. She was boring, and she reminded me of my nit-picky grandma, but she made really good sense.
