Can Hiding Text With CSS Hurt an SEO Effort ?

    Hello guys,
    Hidden content may be harmful for SEO?
    we all know CSS is helpful for making all webpages to be standard in a given font, color, etc.... just wondering, if i make color of a word same as the background's color in external css file, will search engines know i am hide some words ? will it hurt SEO ?

    You want to create sure that you use your most essential search phrases towards the very starting of the tag, and also create sure that every individual web page has its own exclusive meta data.

    It depends. I added hidden text in one of my clients site (2-3 years domain) with very less content, it got penalized but on the other hand when I added it on an old domain with lots of content, it didn't affect the site at all.
