Raj - mentioned this on your other posting as well, please don`t use white text for your links - with a white background on our site, those are invisible to users.

If anyo one is looking for a search engine submission service try AddMe or for a extensive submission to 100`s of engines, NeedMoreHits

Addme is a good resource, but don`t fall for that search engine submission crap. First of all, you don`t need to submit to the search engines. They will eventually find you on their own.

Second, there aren`t hundreds of search engines out there worth submitting to. There are a only a handful that will send you any significant traffic. They are Google, Yahoo, Ask and Live (formerly MSN).

Third, if you want to submit to the search engines, you can do so on your own - free of charge. You don`t need to pay anyone to do it for you.

    I can`t emphasize this enough:

YOU DO NOT NEED TO PAY ANYONE TO DO SEARCH ENGINE SUBMISSION. YOU CAN DO IT YOURSELF FREE OF CHARGE!!!

You might want to look at SiteMap submission (to the search engines) rather than the single URL search engine submission.  Although it is true that most search engines will (eventually) find you through other inbound links... and that submitting your site to be crawled doesn't necessarily speed up that process, a built out sitemap can help the search engines fall ALL of your pages (especially if you've got a moderate to large site).

You might also want to consider installing Google's Webmaster Tools, a great help with determining where you are from an indexation and ranking standpoint.

    I hope that helps.

i was going to say pretty much this exact same thing. submitting to search engines is a waste of time, if you've built your site properly and have begun the SEO process (which by the way never ends, so don't go thinking once you're at the top you'll stick), then search engine will find you organically, which is the better way to be found. search engine's spiders crawl from site to site and discover new domains and pages - hence the reason back links are so important.

I'd only like to say that search engine marketing is the most cost effective form of online advertising..costing as little as 5 cents a visitor.

without a healthy amount of incoming links Your site's ranking in the search engines is worthless . You literally need hundreds if not thousands of links for long-term traffic success. Also, the more incoming links from related sites, the higher your Google PR (PageRank).  which leads to joint ventures, better branding, and other benefits.

Search engine submission helps in promoting the links to get the higher traffic and to get the back links. It can also be known as the URL submission. And it is the one among the off-page optimization technique in SEO.

Search engine submission, its regular process of web marketing in that submit your website to particular search engine, like Google, Yahoo, Bing etc. fill all the information for submission and add the give code in your website and verify the website. because if any problem in your website, like not found file, HTML errors etc. all the problems will be solved by using webmaster tool of search engines.

As an added note to this excellent information - For best long term results, website owners should not use Free Submission to the search engines. Google especially gives a ranking boost to sites they `find`, rather than those that are submitted to them.

How do you get `found`? All you need to do is have a friend, whose site is in the Google database already, link to you. When the Google bot comes around to their site, it will follow the link and catalog your site.

Once you`re in the database your friend can even take down the link to you. Google no longer needs that link to find your site, because they now have your address and will start coming to you directly from then on.

    Best of luck

Its worth noting now that for most websites manual search engine submission is unnecessary - at least for English websites.

For example almost 100% of all people search on google, bing, aol or yahoo. Yahoo is now run off bing, which means there's only really 3 search engines to worry about. If your website is receiving traffic then it should be indexed effectively by all three. You can help pages get ranked fast and help the engines crawl your website by manually submitting a site map.

As a general rule though, if a website and its pages are easily crawable and can be navigated then they will be indexed. This doesn't always mean that they will rank well however, which is where things like keyword optimisation and external linking come into play.

    Search Engine Submission

Why is Search Engine Marketing so important to success on the internet?

    The statistics speak for themselves:

    ·         91% of internet users use search engines to navigate the web

    ·         9 out of 10 searches are done from the top 20 search engines

    ·         85% of search engine users do not look past the first 40 results

    ·         77% of internet users employ search engines more frequently than any other online media as the leading vehicle for discovering websites, surpassing banner ads, web links, e-mail links or any other method.

    Site owners
If you are generating traffic to your Automatic Builder page using your own web site(s), you can learn about optimizing your pages for submission to search engines by checking out the tutorials at any of the major search engines listed below.
An excellent resource I have found is on Lycos at this link:
http://insite.lycos.com/  Scroll down to the “Resource Center” on the left side and click on the links provided to learn about search engine advertising. Another excellent source of information is a workbook from Overture (Yahoo’s search partner). You can get it here: http://www.content.overture.com/d/USm/ac/tu/ebk.jhtml
Some of the information is specific to Overture, but there is a lot of good general information, too.

Even an optimized, fully compliant website may have difficulty landing in those coveted first three pages with a free submission, however and you may want to consider advertising with the search engines using PPC (pay per click).

    Non-Site Owners
If you are promoting Automatic Builder using only the link to your replicated site (http://www.automaticbuilder.com/username) you can submit your site to search engines as well, however it will get listed in few, if any searches because it is an affiliate site. It doesn’t hurt to try, however, so check each of the search engines below for “free submissions.” The alternative to taking chances on a free submission would be to pay for “clicks” at the search engine.

    What is “Pay per Click”?
Many search engines allow you to bid for keywords of your choice and charge you only when your link is actually clicked on. You only pay for the visitors you get. Google calls this form of advertising, “AdWords” but most refer to it simply as “pay per click.” One of the biggest advantages of PPC is you don’t need your own website. Your Automatic Builder link is perfectly acceptable for use in these listings.

How Can I Use PPC Effectively?
Start by learning how to write a good ad for search engine submission, how to choose good key words, and how to bid and manage your submission. The course from Overture mentioned above covers this in four chapters. The Lycos tutorial is a short, but good one if you already have some knowledge.

Then go to each of the search engines listed below for their prices and policies. While we all know Google is the giant, it may be far more expensive to get listed there than other search engines. And remember, you are only paying for people who click on your ad no matter which search engine you choose to use. Therefore, it may be just as effective to pay less per click at a smaller search engine.

You will find as you check out the links below that some of the search engines actually compile searches from others, so the link for go.com, for instance, will link to Google. This list covers the most popular and widely used search engines on the web. A few not mentioned here do not accept PPC advertising or are serviced by other search engines.
