That is an interesting topic for discussion. I know that advertising is the necessary pillar of any business's success. May be you are providing the high quality services, but if people don't know about you, it doesn't worth for you as you are not getting better ROI.
Since you're doing videos, I think you can try some viral marketing on YouTube. Make a advertising/promotion video by yourself and for yourself, upload it to YouTube and try to get it spread. This kind of sharing can bring in better result than paid advertising when done appropriately.
After years of running a successful photography business with my wife, I'm venturing into the world of commercial videography (promotional videos, training videos, etc). I'm still early on in the business, but I'd like to get your thoughts on where to spend my time and money promoting the business. I've seen some early signs of success in trying to get the word out to web companies, who then in turn refer my business. I'm just wondering if I shouldn't be spending my time working on advertising. Maybe it's not an either/or here. Thoughts?
I had considered going the YouTube route, and maybe that's exactly what I should do. My biggest concern with YouTube is just the quality. To me, it's a tossup between choosing another video host to make my videos look great and the marketing potential with Youtube.
Thanks for the suggestions guys!!
