When I was thinking about starting a business until now, I have had "Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill with me at all time.  When things were going rough, I looked to it for inspiration.  I, like anyone starting a business, have had roadblocks on the way.  The process is stressful and this quote from his book kept me energized and focused.  "Every adversity, every failure, and every heartache carried with it the seed of an equivalent or a greater benefit."  Those words really helped me when I felt like giving up!

What books have you found to be inspiration?

I love to read so I have a variety of books........ My favorite books that inspire me are the Bible, The Secret, The Power of Intention, The Seven Laws of Attraction and Awaken the Giant Within among others. Each book has a special way of motivating me in a different way - yet they all have a common message - your thoughts are quite powerful.

Take each day, mold it and make it yours.......

I'm an avid reader of inspirational and motivational books since I believe we are what we think and our thoughts lead to our actions which create our reality.  Especially, when you're starting a business or in a career transition it's so important to stay positive and motivated and surround yourself around inspirational people and ideas.

Since I have read more inspirational books than I know what to do with I love to suggest ones that have changed my life so here goes:

    1) The Big Leap - Gay Hendricks

    2) The Power of Now - Eckhart Tolle

    3) A Return to Love - Marianne Williamson

    4) Radical Forgiveness - Colin Tipping

    5) Power, Freedom and Grace - Deepak Chopra

    6) You Can Heal Your Life - Louise Haye

    7) The Law of Attraction - Jerry and Esther Hicks

    8) Creating Money - Sonaya Roman

    9) In the Meantime - Iyanla VanZant

    10) Start Something That Matters - Blake Mycoskie

    11) Delivering Happiness - Tony Hsieh

Hope these help!  I have plenty more....

Great point Sylvie-This is a wonderful list of books in English wish is about self esteem. I love to read and often wonder on how many great books I miss out on because I only know English. And, of course, these types of lists are great for generating debate on which books should be included that weren't selected.

The Napoleon Hill`s book "Think and grow rich" changed my life imagination. That was a first book I`ve read on this topic. I can advice you the Robert Kiyosaki (Rich Dad, Poor Dad), George Samuel Clason (the richest man in Babylon). All the books of these authors will help you to start think in categories of success.

My most inspirational book is "Wings of Fire". It is an autobiography of The Late Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam who was a leader of Indian space research, nuclear, and missile programs.
