Just a little knowledge can make a difference between selling an item in days and seeing it languish in the archives for a month before reposting. Follow these guidelines, and you can get much better results the next time you post

Steps To An Effective Classifieds Ad

Repost to Keep Your Ad on Top

ALWAYS Post an Image a GOOD Image

Don’t Put a Question in Your Headline

Be as Specific as You Can Be

Make Sure the Price Is Right

Pair Up Items That Go Together

    Consider Trades

1 Search engine marketing - Search engine optimization (SEO) is a collection of techniques that help sites achieve strong search engine rankings through Google, Yahoo, and other search engines. The difference in traffic count from one site to another is multiplied tremendously by attaining first page position in common Google searches, and preferably a top 5 position. New research suggests nearly half of online consumers use search engine to search for products.

2 Article marketing - Article marketing is a fast-growing online marketing tool that offers some SEO benefits as well as increased media communication with potential audiences. Companies are writing, or hiring SEO writers to write, articles that offer quality information and search engine benefits based on effective use of keywords that consumers search for. Articles can be placed on your site, shared through a blog, or submitted to one of the many free online article submission sites.

    3. Pay-per-click or sponsored link advertising - This is where businesses pay to achieve high position in a sponsored link section of consumer searches. Costs for placement vary as you can usually bid on a per click cost to achieve higher positions. Essentially, you pay to generate visitors to your site as they search. The key to success with PPC is to have effective .landing pages., which are the pages on your site where clickers land. PPC is usually a short-term traffic generation technique as successful sites increase SEO.

4 Use social media - Social media networks are taking over internet marketing. These are popular sites, including Digg.com, Twitter, MySpace, and more that provide a natural online network. Essentially, it offers companies a built in opportunity for viral marketing. Your company can network with others, submit articles and news for users, and essentially help direct the movement of word of mouth through the web.

5 Add pages - A general rule of thumb of increasing SEO performance is to add traffic. Having more cached pages that are indexed by Google and other search engines helps gives your site more impact in search engines. Additionally, you can set up additional pages as independent landing pages to help increase sales conversion for specific products as they become easier to find for visitors who do not have to navigate through your site to get to sales pages.

    Hi,

It's the one thing I never pay for -- online advertising and Craigslist is my number one marketing tool lately. I picked up some free advice from Lauryn Herbert and her free ebook, Greatest Money Making Ebook Ever! Yeah, I know, sounds typical but, after implementing some of her marketing tips, Craigslist in particular, profits started rolling in.

I'm placing multiple ads on C/L daily, promoting the same thing and not getting banned/flagged -- Just the beginning I think and no reason to pay for ads when you don't have to.

I am a quite new small business owner. I was trying for the past year to bring more customers to my business by registering in all kinds of directories. It actually helped a bit, but the most helpful thing was few contact that I made with some other members of the business directories. Never underestimate the power of cooperation :)

Anyway, it wasn't so easy to find and get in touch with the right people. So I recently decided to go and built my own website exactly for this purpose - to enable myself and other business owners to easily locate and build productive cooperations with each other. For example if our businesses located in the same city or we are both dealing with the same target audience or business category/industry.

So I would like to invite you all to register your business in my website and take part in the business owners community that I am trying to create.

Of course - it's completely free...

    My website is:  http://www.smallbusinessgarden.org

Of course ant advice or ideas for improvement are welcome.

I have heard a lot about effective marketing via free classifieds. Many people mentioned promoting their websites using these available resouces. However, I am having difficult time posting on craigslist and khrido classifieds. Either my account is getting banned or ads are pending / not posted. I have had no problems posting to other classified websites.

Are you guys able to post successfully? If yes, how are you doing that? Any special tips I must know. Thanks in advance.

You can post unique add to this website, if you are trying to post same add at once again then he considers spam and that they prohibited your web site. Craigslist permissible solely distinctive content. I many times expose on it web site with no problems occurred.
