As part of the 1M/1M initiative, Sramana Mitra offers free weekly online strategy roundtables for entrepreneurs looking to discuss positioning, financing, and other aspects of a startup venture.  Up to 1,000 people can attend each session, but only the first five who register to pitch will be able to present their business ideas.  All attendees are able to join in on the conversations via a live chat.

Sramana requests that entrepreneurs use the Clarify Your Story appendix of herPositioning book to prepare their pitches. While many entrepreneurs find it difficult to answer all the questions in the CYS framework, we strongly recommend that you address the following items in your roundtable pitch at the minimum:
(1) A validated customer value proposition
(2) Detailed segmentation analysis and target customer definition at a fairly granular level
(3) A customer acquisition strategy that is pragmatic, and
(4) We also recommend that you present a succinct summary of whatever customer validation work you have done.
Your roundtable pitch should be no more than three minutes, and consist of four slides, as suggested above. No more. No less.

Upcoming 1M/1M Roundtables:
Thursday, December 09, 2010, 8 a.m. Pacific Time, Register Here...

Am a Ambassador in the global initiative One Million by One Million 1M/1M (http://www.sramanamitra.com 1m/1m/).

There are only about 5 pitching slots each week, and I would like to get startups from Africa participating in the roundtables at least each week. There are plenty businesses in around the world that need this.

If you have any questions or comments, please do not hesitate to email me ...

Hello everyone!

The Entrepreneurial Club is hosting a very exciting event this coming Wednesday 13th in Central London, and we'd love to invite you along!

All the great leaders, athletes, performers, and business owners will tell you they work best when they are "in the zone". Every great figure in history was inspired by powerful emotions; a clear vision and an innate sense of being part of something greater than just themselves.

Einstein loved the universe

Gandhi loved the people

Branson loves business

Seeing a pattern?

At the event, you will:

  • Understand the 3 key elements of injecting passion into your work, overcoming problems and being creative
  • Learn key leadership philosophies and practices that inspire others
  • Understand the real meaning of entrepreneurship
  • Mind like-minded and like-hearted people who could support you on your entrepreneurial journey.

Just click here to register your place! See you there!

Date: February 17, 2011
Time: 6:3000pm-7:30pm Eastern

Course Description:

Learn how to sell, how to market, how to promote, how to survive - this is not the time to write a business plan.

However, most business owners who make their living through entrepreneurship do so by maintaining Multiple Streams of Profit Vehicles. In other words, own more than one business venture. Take this course to gain practical knowledge of how to structure a multidimensional business model and operate it for success as well as learning what entrepreneurship really entails.
