Hello and thanks for stopping by,
My name is S Patrick Culshaw. And, as you might have guessed from the page title, I am a freelance writer. I started my career in the usual way. I took course in journalism, creative writing (useful when I wrote police reports) and technical writing. I also have training in writing budget drafts for small organizations and resume` drafts.
Maybe you need help with your resume`? I’ve already helped others. One of these individuals was later hired by a local school district.
I was a regular contributor to various newspapers as well. I started as a stringer for two newspapers in Nevada. I wrote articles on events occurring around our county. Later, I took over a weekly column for another paper. I also was a guest editorialist for a regional paper in California.
During this time, I've had articles published in numerous magazines. These magazines include Cats, Journal of Emergency Medicine (JEMS) and Handguns.
I've drafted employee job descriptions, training guides and emergency response protocols as well. I even reviewed police and security reports before they were processed. Maybe you have similar projects we could work on together.
Or, maybe you need help with your company’s safety program. I spent thirty years in the emergency response field. During this time, I authored the rough and final draft for a various emergency response programs. The state adopted one program as a funding model for future emergency response programs.
I also wrote the training guides for safety course I taught. Maybe you have similar projects you would like to discuss. Feel free to contact me. We can then set a time to work on your project.
