| Description: | My professional experience in management consulting did not prepare me for the swift tide of the fashion industry. My background in apparel design and geology eventually led me to develop a jewelry line. It was a struggle at first to resist being trend-driven and to settle into what is appropriate for my design aesthetic. I am much more suited to fine and luxurious materials, such as high karat gold and South Sea Pearls. EMD has always practiced Fair Trade and has not used conflict diamonds. EMD only works with suppliers who adhere to these principles. I look forward to broadening my business horizons and am grateful for the sincere advice and encouragement I have received from industry leaders and those designers whose brilliance in jewelry design is something to which I aspire. |
