My father is a reasonably successful PI Lawyer and one problem his clients has always had is having money for bill while awaiting settlments. There were previously no pre-settlement funding companies in my area and low income families who couldn`t work had the choice of getting loans from pawn shops at userous rates or not being able to pay bills. So, knowing the need in the market and that I could actually help these people, I started my company with all of my savings. I buy stakes in the settlements of their cases for better rates than they could get previously and if they don`t settle there is no debt since instead of loaning them money I`m buying a futures investment.
