That was the first time that I felt confidence in myself and what a natural high. Oct. 05th, 2005 started my web site. The only support I had was StartupNation Newsletter and my Psychiatrist. I shared my feelings (good or bad) with StartupNation Newsletter. Realizing starting your own e-commerce business, was far from the commercials on T.V. Five years of scams and con`s I almost threw in the toilet (several times). Ironically a bad experience in my life which did a drastic 360. degree turn around. After the shock, bitterness, resentments, and why me? I decided to make the best of my situiation. Plus I got bored with computer games:-)After my automobile accident that left me 100% disabled, homebound due to a truck driver who fell asleep behind the wheel. I decided at the age of 49, to take an online business course. Which really helped with my business, then I taught myself the computer(which I am still learning). I can not believe that my e-commerce business is over a year old. The reason why I post the article regarding the B.B.B. online membership, is because I personally am proud of being a member of the B.B.B. I consider my membership a milestone of my e-commerce business. After being rip-off so many times I make sure the company has the B.B.B. emblem. My certificate hangs proud on my office wall. I just realized I am a true American. Besides being disabled my life has a purpose. SecondHandRoseBoutique.com is more than a e-commerce business. 20% of each sale goes to Americans with Disabilities. Every link, has been research for grants, loans, education, because I feel that knowledge should be shared with others like myself. The rate of Americans with Disabilities is now one out of every five Americans. The age group that is increasing are the "Baby Boomers" like myself. Also the feeling of change in life style to a fix income is a major adjustment. That is why I received the award of "Cambridge Who`s Who Among Women" for I truly feel that the internet is big enough too share with people like myself who might think the dream is impossible living on a fix income. I am here to let other`s know, it does not matter who or what your circumstances are that anybody who shares the same dream, if you work hard at it, stay focus on it, be persistent all dreams can become a reality! First comes the achievements than comes the money for I, myself living on Social Security can not afford the advertising and being homebound is awfully difficult to advertise by word of month.
