What determines why you would pay a certain price for a product? Is it one or multiple reasons? Would you pay more for the same product if the quality and versatility is better? This poll thing is great.

I think the overall concept is VALUE.  It`s a measure of price versus what`s delivered.  The deliverable might include quality, but will most likely include otehr things.

Quality is irrelevent if the product doesn`t do the required job.  Quality is also sometimes not part of the requirement, and will not enter into the value equation... Everyone has purchased products of poor quality.
