Have you been keeping up with what is happening at the "Could We Create a Business Together" thread?  Well, the election is  Friday and although many chimed in with their first response, I`d like to know what you`re REALLY thinking about what`s going on in there and gauge how you view the progress up to this point.  Please take a moment to chime in on this poll.  I`d really appreciate your input and if you feel the need to elaborate below, go right ahead.  You can check all that apply as the post is set up to accept multiple votes. This is the second collective action taken by the group.

This poll is to determine if you AGREE or DISAGREE with the course of action as outlined below.  Discussion with regard to this specific poll is welcome below the poll.  This poll will close Wed., Nov. 8th at 5pm CST, at which time we will be able to determine how the participating community would like to proceed.

Moving ahead in a such a manner that everyone knows where we are in the process is extremely important.  Participation levels are also imporant as is keeping away from the ancillary stuff.

 I`d like to ask everyone participating to log in to this site and locate SUN PROJECT #1 topics at least once every weekday for a while in order to keep any process moving along in a timely manner.  I`d like to refrain from any decision making on the weekends, if everyone is in agreement. 

1. My first step, in addition to posting here will be to create a topic notifying everyone of the same because private messaging everyone who has indicated interest just to remind them to stay tuned....  it`s too time consuming.  The post will be titled, "HEADS UP! SUN PROJECT #1"
2. My second step is to spell out how we are going to proceed from there.

I`ve asked Jeff to indicate if he is willing to create a category called:  SUN PROJECT #1 and his willingness to keep it on the home page as a hot topic or feature so that it is easy for everyone to find.

If Jeff is willing to create this category, it is within this category that we will better be able to organize and stay focused. 

I suggest we do so in the following manner:

We had 80+ members indicate interest in moving this project ahead.  When assistance is needed it will be requested under the topic:

SUN PROJECT #1 ~ ASSISTANCE NEEDED. 

We`ll post the needs as they arise and participating members will be able to indicate their willingness to team up and assist on any given task in that thread. 

Within the newly created SUN PROJECT #1 category, if accepted, we are going to begin moving ahead using the community forums and polls in a specific manner. 

To cover all the bases, I think we should continue overall updates in this "Could We Create a Business Together" thread.  I will be asking for assistance with that at SUN PROJECT #1 ASSISTANCE NEEDED within the SUN PROJECT #1 Category... if Jeff comes back with a positive response.  If not, we`ll proceed under a category determined by vote. 

All project topics related to the SUN PROJECT #1 category, at this point, will be:

1. Determined by the community 
2. Be opened for discussion by me as determined by the community
3. Be moderated by many
4. Be put to polls by me as determined by the community, and through joint efforts. 

To facilitate that, activating these discussions and polls will be through my approval and are to be titled and numbered to match as follows:

Again, all project topics related to the SUN PROJECT #1 category, at this point, will be open for discussion by me as determined by the community, moderated by many, and put to polls by me as we as a group determine, and through joint efforts.  My part is to just keep it organized and focused.

Keeping this project down to a few threads will help us stay organized and focused and provide good record of our actions.  I think we all expect that the participating community WILL rise to the occasions, stand up, accept responsibility and get to task since this is an opportunity from which any paticipating member may benefit.

I see 3 things or questions or points.

1.) Let there be forgiveness of people who are new and may post "ancillary" things. Please define ancillary so everyone is clear. We don`t need to combat adverse posts. Mitey or her appointed moderator can bring order.

2.) As soon as the current Talent can be kept and added to by point man or the assistant, for tracking and special messaging - I will delete that thread. Whatever purpose it is good for can be determined at your leisure. At last vote, 60 people had opened their mail. Plus new  members = 90 people who posted.

3.) I do hope Jeff can have a Heading posted, so our threads can go under it. The current NewTopic threads will scroll off soon. And Popular Topics is too short. My suggestion is a new Forum heading right after NewTopics. Members will need to scroll down, but it won`t interfere with the current format. If the overall heading is The SUN Project, that would allow for more projects to go under the same heading. We were told that SUN is for our success. The point man seems likely to be the one to request it directly.

4.) I`m glad to see good direction right off the bat. Mighty good planning.

When members contribute their ideas and suggestions, I think it may be beneficial  if they give their reasons why,  the features and benefits for the idea and/or comment. 

This way everybody is as educated as possible when voting on different topics and issues.

Just an idea will giving input.

Ok, so 63.33% are okay with the above......36.67% not so much. 

Just want everyone to know I understand the significance of those numbers.  Rest assured; I`m compiling, I`m organizing, I`m getting opinions, I`m meeting with members, talking to point people from other projects, etc.  The results of these efforts will be posted before the week is through.  Thanks for your patience!

I placed my vote (only one time) and wanted to point out that if you vote for E-learning, knowledge transfer, etc that it is possible to also have e-book of sun member input and epublication of startupnation magazine inclusive of the elearning business option (the technology supports those other ideas), perhaps even the virtual business development idea as well.  I noticed many people voting from them individually and wanted people to know that Elearning and knowledge transfer could include those as well as part of the structure.
