I was just wondering if there were websites with the same products, would you be more likely to buy from the site that would benefit a charity?  Or would the cost of the product also be a factor?  What if you could buy your item for less, benefit a charity, and recieve free items too? 

I voted yes but like most purchase decisions, it`s much more complex than the those 3 choices.  It would depend on what the charity is.  Not that I don`t believe in giving back but some causes are more important to me than others.  And yes, when comparison shopping, price is commonly a factor.  Credibility of the website, ease of use and delivery options are also some of the elements of purchasing online.

But yep, charity is a good draw.

If the two sites had not only the same item, but same shipping, same service, and same everything else, then I`d be influenced by their donations to charity. Overall, my buying habits aren`t associated with someone else`s charitable works.

hmmm...I am an avid online shopper.  I have to agree with steve that it is the credibility of the website that draws me in, just like any brick/mortar store...        if they give to charity that is o.k. BUT if the site talks too much about the charity, well that is a turnoff.  hope this helps.  

Too many people talk about giving to charities lately.    It is getting to be common and therefore not a selling point..it is not unique anymore and sometimes I really wonder if they are truly giving the money to any charity.
