My daughter and I returned to the Detroit area to help care for my elderly mother two years ago. With the economy as it is there were no jobs to be found so we decided our only choice was to start a web based craft studio. We're still struggling, having to bootstrap a business is really rough. In these past two years we've managed to actually get our business license, build two e-commerce web sites and create a web presence with our own web sites and Etsy shops! Money has been very tight, but we aren't about to give up. We can work at home and be here for my mom who is now 93! I was a desktop publisher for twelve years, it's nice to be able to utilize all the knowledge I gain in my own business, but would aslo like to help other small business owners create a "company identity" through a unified look for all printed and web-based material.
