You`re absolutely right, Craig. Pageviews are meaningless. The only numbers that matter are unique visitors and conversion ratio - at least those are the only numbers I care about.

Good web site stats (from your web host) should tell you the source of your traffic. Also Google analytics provides similar information.

It is important to monitor such stats especially if you are making changes to your site for SEO purposes... to test if those changes are working as planned.
