I am trying to become a first time entrepreneur but need help.  I am very green as to what steps do I take first or last. Any information is greatly appreciated on opening a Billiards. Many questions....i.e. How much money should I have before attempting to start? Should I get a TIN and pay taxes before the business actually starts? Can I lease a Liquour license before finding property or vice versa? Any answers or comments regarding the above question or other regarding a Billiards or startup business is very helpful.

    Thanks so much,

    Billiards

First thing is I dont get the poll?  All you have to vote on are two "?".

As for the rest of the question, starting a business and the amount of "start up" money would be different for each and every type of business so the question and the answers that you would get would not help much.

There is a saying that you need to have 6 months of your present income saved for an emergency.  Start there.  No you do not need to pay any taxes yet as you do not know how much money that you have made.  You will need to regester the name of the company witht your state, this I would do before you start making money, you would not want to get it all set up, have your first customers then find that the business name is not available, as for the loquour license question, contact your state or local loquour gavernment to see what the steps are.

Also, you should look at the 10 steps plan here on sun to see what else to do!
