| Description: | Miss Young is the artistic director of Push Factor Dance Company and DanzJam Conventions and Competitions. Miss Young has enjoyed an extensive career as a professional dancer, concert producer, stage director, artistic director, choreographer, studio owner and educator. Miss Young is known for her innovative style in creating dance programs for studios, colleges and summer festivals that teach, entertain, and establish life long bonds among the participants. She is also in demand for judging competitions, teaching master classes at Universities and dance studios and setting choreography for the University and dance studio companies. Jacqui is also a management consultant to studio owners and operators. Jacqui began dancing at the age of five, choreographed her first professional show at age sixteen, and landed her first professional dancing job at age eighteen. Professional credits include: The Van Burch and Wellford Show, (Illusionist and Comedy Show) (Branson, MO) choreographer, dancer, and magic assistant. Awarded best new show, best dancers, and best choreography; still holds record of highest grossing show in Branson. Choreographer, on TNN National Television, The Crook and Chase Show; Melinda: First Lady of Magic, Dancer and magic assistant, (Las Vegas, NV); Sh-Boom National Tour; Laughlin, NV; Elko, NV; Las Vegas, NV; Performed in resident shows at: Lady Luck Hotel, The Desert Inn, Colorado Belle & the Red Lion Hotel and Casino; The Rainbow Tribe, Dancer, Hip Hop Dance Company (Boston, MA); West End Dance Company, Dancer, Jazz Dance Company (Boston, MA); Director and Choreographer for the North American Premiere of Uncle Ebenezer, A Christmas Carol; Director and choreographer for World Premiere workshop of a new music-theatre-dance production titled Tree Story; Choreographer for professional productions of: Annie, Die Fledermaus, Grease, Hello Dolly, Man of La Mancha, Music Man, Oklahoma, Sound of Music, The King & I, The Wiz, Tree Story, Two for the Seesaw, and West Side Story. Jacqui has a very unique dance style, which come from her diverse background of teachers and styles, Gus Giordano, Lester Horton, Jose Limon, and Ina Han among others. Miss Young established her professional company PUSH FACTOR in 1999. The company has performed extensively through the New England Region and in March 2002, PUSH FACTOR had its New York Premiere. Miss Young’s vision for the complete dance experience for her students goes far beyond a listing of class offerings. Understanding and embracing total commitment, ongoing training in technique and creating professional performance experiences for her students, is her vision. She has also taught numerous enrichment programs for children through out the New England and greater New York area. She holds degrees in Dance and Broadcast Journalism, is an associate member of the Society of Stage Directors and Choreographers and is a resident faculty member at Northern Essex Community College.
