AmericaEd Learning Center is Where the Stars Shine, with preschool, summer school, after school and support for home-schooling parents for ages 3 to 12. It was founded in 1992 as a vocational school for high tech programs and morphed itself with the changing demands in the economy to Early Childhood Education field. AmericaEd is the creation of two Silicon Valley parents, Dr. Omer Uyuklu and Leman Uyuklu, who realized their dream by first starting an Early Childhood Education Training and Placement Program and then with a preschool. They wished to fill a need for a safe and quality educational environment for children during the workday and after school. I work as the Public Relations Director for the school and organize educational, fun, community events.
As Early Childhood Education professionals, we understand the considerable growth and change during these years. We teach the whole child through a curriculum that includes language and communication, science and technology, math and logic, creative expression, music and movement, interpersonal and intrapersonal skills, and enrichment and extracurricular activities.

The school`s philosophy is to let each child learn at his or her own pace, under the guidance of carefully selected, highly professional and trained individuals. With the children`s input, teachers develop curriculum webs to ensure that their students are eager to learn. We are not preparing children just for the next grade, but for life. It is our desire to respect the dignity, worth and uniqueness of each individual.

AmericaEd Learning Center is housed in the old Randol Elementary School, in south San Jose. The facility features three playgrounds, a mini wilderness garden, a green and concrete lot for team sports. Interior spaces feature plenty of room for children to be active learners, as well as quiet rest areas, listening corners and cozy bean bags for those who need a slower pace and a peaceful corner.

All of this attention to detail and emphasis on allowing each child to reach and surpass his or her goals is what sets AmericaEd Learning Center apart and truly allows their stars to shine.
