I am wondering if any one knows how new concepts in clothing designs can be protected. My understanding is that all a copy cat has to do is change a location of a button or bow and it is considered a new design. I have my prototypes done, took them to a patent attorney and he could not help me because he did not know what category to put them in. Is a patent worth it with such loose laws on designs?

Hi Zodie!

I just heard of an fashion event named ASEAN Fashion Plus on August 13-16 at the Impact Exhibition Center in Thailand

I think designers  should take chance  to attend to this kind of event .It is a very good platform to meet up various participants of the fashion industry, exchange ideas and experience.
