I currently work for one of the largest single site employers in the country.  The training here is top notch and I feel like everyone that ever comes through this company learns a lot.  with that said, many of these peopel come in on internships and there just simply aren't enough full time jobs for these great people.  My website idea is to create a site specifically for former(or current) employees to post their resumes.  i already no that people from this company are very highly regarded and I think that this idea would serve many other companies find these great people. I would plan to make money buy charging employers who want to search through the site a fee, and also for advertising space!!!  I would probably also dedicate a large portion of the site to furthur promote how well the company that they worked for before developes these great individuals!  what does everybody think of this idea?

also, would anyone happen to know anything about whether or not I could use that companies name in my site? not like for the actual name of my site, but in terms of referring to it quite often!!! like if the company was Wal-Mart(which it is not) I might have it say somewhere near the top of the page, "A place for Employers to find great former employees of Wal-Mart."

Go ahead and let me know if you need any web help.

yeah i'd like it to be like a mini-monster.com, but the difference would be that everyone looking for jobs would have a common former employer.  Anyone that would be consider hiring these people would already know a lot about them based on the type of training and reputation from their former workplace.

So you are planning to make a job portal site. If  I am not wrong. Well my friend I don't suggest you to include companies name in your site. The employee resume is fine to include in your site. As you are right now working in the same company I think it will effect the companies policy.

HI NJKFLA,

That is a neat idea but its success depends on how you publicize and market it among the employees and make them use it. May be use can similar family or fun events and so forth for the group and make them use not just job portal for good alumni portal. That why you have constant visitors.

How is that for a change?
