Monday Morning Mojo: Your Thoughts are POWERFUL!

We’ve all heard the saying, “The energy was so thick in that room, I could cut it with a knife.” That energy is felt without words being expressed or eye contact being made. There’s nothing going on but the same bad feeling being felt by all the people in the room.

The question is how real is that feeling? The answer? VERY! And the proof is physical.

Scientists have proven that our physical world is comprised of atoms. An atom is comprised of a nucleus with a certain number of protons and neutrons encircled by a cloud of electrons. The atom is known as the building block all matter in our universe. Different ratios of protons, neutrons and electrons produce the 117 distinct elements (types of atoms). These elements are combined into molecules and eventually matter. The point is that ALL MATTER consists of protons, neutrons and electrons. Period.

That’s pretty magical, but where the magic get’s really amazing is when you take a look at the distance between an atom’s nucleus and it’s electrons. According to Canada’s National Laboratory for Particle Physics, if a golf ball were to represent the nucleus of an atom, the first group of electrons would be a kilometer away. The second group would be 4 kilometers away. That makes an atom approximately 99.9% space making everything in our physical world mostly space. Even the densest of matter (iron, diamonds, lead, etc.) is space. That’s some mind-boggling stuff, but not quite the whole story. Something is holding the particles together. We know that something to be ENERGY. So the total truth is that our world is made up of infinitesimally small bits of particles held to together by energy. It is safe to say, then, that our universe IS energy. We are energy. It’s all energy. Our thoughts are even energy.

Of course, if everything is energy and things are happening in our world, it then applies that ENERGY AFFECTS ENERGY.

OK, stay with me… we’re getting to the best part and here it is… What you’re thinking, what you’re feeling and who you’re being affects your environment.

This was proven in experiments that were highlighted the documentary “What the Bleep Do We Know”. Japanese scientist, Masaru Emoto, conducted experiments in which he exposed water to positive and negative thoughts, feelings, and written words, froze the water and then examined the crystalline structure of the ice. What he found was quite astonishing. Water exposed to positive energy produced beautiful, symmetrical crystals. Water exposed to negative energy produced unpleasing, asymmetrical crystals.

Here are a few examples:

Before Prayer                            After Prayer

I Hate You                                  Love and Appreciation

The results of this experiment prove that our thoughts and feelings, as well as who we’re being affect our environment. Of course, the inverse applies. The energy of our environment will affect our thoughts and feelings, as well as who we’re being.

So, it then follows that if we can direct our thoughts and feelings towards the positive we will produce a positive impact in our environment. If we put ourselves in a positive environment, it will have a positive impact on our thoughts and feelings and who we’re being.

Bettie Eadie in “Embraced By The Light” sums up this week’s mojo beautifully:

If we understood the power of our thoughts,
we would guard them more closely.
If we understood the awesome power of our words,
we would prefer silence to almost anything negative.
In our thoughts and words we create
our own weaknesses and our own strengths.
Our limitations and joys begin in our hearts.
We can always replace negative with positive.

Here are three simple things to try on for the week that will help you harness your power to create a positive world for you and for those around you:

1)  Notice what you’re thinking and talking about.

Most of the time, people are unaware that they are even having thoughts. If you stop and take a look you can actually observe them. Are you being negative or positive? Remember you are not your thoughts and you have the ability to choose your thoughts.

2)  Dismiss negative thoughts/words.  Replace them with positive thoughts/words.

Yes, you actually have a choice. When you have a negative thought, notice it and try to replace it with it’s opposite or a completely different positive thought. For example, if you have the thought that you aren’t good enough to start a business, replace it with the excitement of engaging in a business that you love. At the very least, turn off negative thinking.  When you’re about to say ANYTHING negative, just stop!  Say nothing.  If you can swing it, say something, ANYTHING positive.

3)  Surround yourself with positive inputs and people.  Avoid negative inputs and people.

In our current society, we are inundated with negative inputs (local news, reality TV, violent movies/books, gossiping, aggressive drivers, etc.). Choose to move away from these things or ANYTHING that brings you down or creates negative thoughts and feelings. Associate with people that are positive thinkers, feelers and doers.

Give these things a try for just a week and notice how the world around you positively responds and how great you feel. You are a most powerful, creative being living in world of magic. I invite you to step into your power and create a world and a life you love!

Have a powerful, positive week everyone!

With love,

Mike

Another point that came to me: If Emoto proved that our thoughts can alter the structure of water and our bodies are 90% water, imagine what our thoughts are doing to each other. It’s so important that we choose positive thoughts.

Hi Office Space! Big question. It’s all really amazing when you stop to take a look at it … From the fact that the universe started with a tiny ball of “matter” that exploded into our infinite universe. Where did the matter come from? How does infinity work in time and space? What was happening before the big bang? Mind boggling questions that point to amazing, magical things going on. Our ability to alter matter with our thoughts (as discussed in this blog)… that matter, even the densest of matter, consists of atoms which are mostly energy, space. Cells, comprised of these bits of energy, moving along their day with intention, an intelligence, doing a job, giving us life, keeping us alive, creating life. Consciousness, love, the 5 senses, emotions, reproduction, desire, colors, the sun, planets, galaxies. The power we as human beings have to create the world we have created. The power we as human beings have to create a life we love full of the things we want in it. I know in my own life that I tend to get consumed to get consumed by the things I need to get done today, or didn’t do yesterday, without seeing the amazing things all around me. It’s so easy to get lost in the morass and not see the magic around us. Anything I can do, including writing and sharing, to see the magical and amazing things going on makes life a happier and richer experience.
