Where can I find ME time?

          0 votes

Last week, I wrote about ME time for the start-up biz person.  Do you take it?  Do you avoid it?  Do you think that you do not have the time to take it?  You get the gist of where I am going with this…..

My thoughts were that YOU cannot afford to skip ME time, and my task was for you to make a list of 3 ways that you like to pamper yourself (I know you are laughing - what, pamper myself?)

You do not have to share your list…it is personal, but I have a very simple solution on where to locate more time for YOU!

Watch this and see how I suggest that you find some time to incorporate your pamper ME list.

I know that this may seem silly, but it is a really good exercise to track time.  It is important to measure this vital resource, both how much we use and on what.

I track (or at least try my best) my time directly in my calendar, but there are so many ways that you can record what you do and for how long.  You can go old school with paper and pencil or high tech with an app for your phone.  It does not matter how you do it, just that you actually keep track of your time!

Time is your most valuable resource in running your business, especially if YOU are in a service oriented biz.  So, cut the fat, get rid of wasted time, and spend a few quality minutes on YOU because ME time will make you approach business and life better and stronger!

Hi Rachel It is always important to be reminded to take ‘me time’ as that is usually the last thing on my list of things to do thanks.

Lisa - I know! For me, too! The me time is always the first to go! We have to schedule it in — Rachel

Note to self: stop avoiding ME time and stop feeling guilty when you finally make time for ME. The avoidance is due to the length of my to-do list and the guilt comes from binging one ME time when I finally do take it lol. Thanks for helping me resolve to shorten the list and take more moderate binges ;-)

Micki — The To-Do list is a killer for me, too! I hate to leave it without it being fully checked off, but we DO need a break! I have learned the hard way that we are way more efficient with a break. Even if it is short, take a little ME time - the list will wait (I promise). Rachel

An outstanding share! I have just forwarded this onto a coworker who had been conducting a little research on this. And he actually ordered me lunch due to the fact that I stumbled upon it for him… lol. So allow me to reword this…. Thank YOU for the meal!! But yeah, thanx for spending some time to discuss this issue here on your web site.
