Making your own, hiring someone from a third world country, or a drunk college student just doesn't cut it. Investing $500 to $1000 with a reputable web design firm, who knows about the legal side, as well as how to design a site that works well and gets you found is only common sense, once it's thought over. It was worth it for me to understand every aspect of it. Now when something goes wrong or I need to add or change something, I don't have to rely on anyone to get the job done immediately. I'm thankful I took classes and did my homework on that one. I can't imagine running my business without knowing every aspect of my website's functions. However, the good news is I have had so many requests for this kind of thing that I am launching a library where entrepreneurs can get guidance and templates for these very types of issues. It will be a great way to get started, and then you might want to think about hiring a business lawyer for an hour to go over that agreement and make sure it touches on all the important areas relating to your type of business.
