I think it will be interesting to watch who uses Twitter going forward and how much. The people on the cutting edge of technology will be moving on to the next great thing as soon as it comes along and that will leave Twitter to the broader market Will them embrace it or will the novelty wear off? I think social media has great traction now, but I don't think we know enough yet to make definitive statements about too far into the future.

Awesome article! I think a lot of companies are getting with the times and hopping on the social media bandwagon by incorporating not only Twitter into their marketing strategies but also diving into other social media platforms such as: Facebook, Linkedin, and etc. Companies may not see an immediate result, but these are definitely ways to target a "different" and broader audience.

I'm real excited about this. I think it's going to be great for businesses. Some businesses haven't implemented Twitter as part of their marketing because it didn't directly impact their search rankings. Now that it will, more business will be looking to use Twitter which I believe will be better for everyone, consumers and businesses alike.
