Why Hire an SEO Copywriter?
If you want to get new customers to your site, one of the fastest ways to gain momentum is with search engine optimization (SEO). And despite what you may have heard, SEO is much for than just adding some popular keywords to your copy.
SEO is a process that involves research, strategy, planning, and regular updates. And you can always use one of the free SEO tools out there like www.keyworddiscovery.com, www.wordtracker.com, or Google to find some keywords.
But if you really want to see results, it’s better to hire a SEO copywriter who knows how to:
- Find the right words;
- Write valuable content using those keywords;
- Include appropriate coding tags; and
- Review results, test and make regular updates.
SEO is an art that takes time and experience to master. And it may cost more to hire a SEO copywriter, but you will definitely see faster results.
Plus, by outsourcing these activities, you can provide your customers with valuable content while focusing on your core, business responsibilities.

Good points, Melanie! As a fellow copywriter, we understand how it’s more than a matter of writing creative ads, letters and other materials for clients.
It is about understanding what their customers are thinking. To get inside the head of a prospective buyer and understand what they feel they need and how to best communicate with them, these are skills that translate into the realm of SEO.
The key difference is the understanding of how to use these more “traditional” copywriting skills with search engine technology for even greater reach than, say, direct mail, direct response or other means of delivering marketing messages used in the past.

SEO Copywriting is just a good combination of traditional copywriting and on-page optimization principals. I guess that’s all it is.
