You are correct that many people put up useless tweets on twitter. However, I am finding that it can be a useful tool to find other professionals who can help me learn and grow my business. You have to be active in looking for people who are like-minded and follow more than just a few people. I think many are still learning how to use twitter to their best advantage and will soon realize that 12 useless tweets in a row is not effective.

I say, get on twitter and hang in there. You will soon find whose tweets are useful to you and you may also find that someone you followed because you thought they were possibly interesting may end up being of great importance to you over time.
