Starting off New Business
Starting your own business can be a tricky process if there is no road map given. When people open their own business there will be mistakes along the way and you will learn what to do and not to do in the process. If you are going to be starting off a business on your own there are a couple of things to keep in mind.
Here are a few pointers that entrepreneurs should consider when starting their own business.
- Try to save money on your office equipment for an example, buying used computers that have software already loaded for a reduced amount of money.
- Save money on all of your insurance needs by shopping around and use the internet to do research.
- When renting, look into shared office space and shared office equipment with others.
- Take advantage of VOIP phone systems that can make you accessible to your clients through email, voice mail or call forwarding.

jack,
curious to know why you think the post is “dumb”. though lorne should speak for himself, if you read his bio (and if you know him) it’s clear he’s an achieved entrepreneur.
make yourself sound smart - explain what you mean!
thanks,

I’m a big fan of choosing NOT to invest in brand new hardware technology when starting up. Like a new car, the hardware loses its value in a big way once you drive it off the lot.
On the other hand, investing in POWER for your computing activity is a strategy that I’ve found to be strongly beneficial. I don’t want any delay in computer processing to interrupt the flow of my current epiphany!!
And I love the idea of using the internet as much as possible for startup business communication needs.
Bravo Lorne!
