The Post-It Note Approach to Success

I've noticed an extraordinary uptick in my performance lately. There are a few theories bouncing around our small office as to why.

But it's perfectly clear to me. It correlates directly to the day I put up this game changing Post-It Note on my office door:

""

And since this has been so powerful for me, I thought it would only be appropriate for me to encourage you to pursue the "Post-It Note Approach to Success" for yourself.

To gain extraordinary performance in your business, give it a whirl.

You can start by posting your message below. Mine used eight words. I figure about 10 words is the max. If it looks right here, commit it to a Post-It Note and stick it to your office door.

Another thought though, if you have ever read the book Monkey Management, you manager or owner who learned to delegate properly always was available to almost anyone, because he had the accountable person doing that brilliant work.

My Post It Note simply states this:

    "Mind Over Matter"

It reminds me to think out of the box on matters that need different approaches. It works quite awesomely and I have three of them. One in the office, one in my business truck and one on my bedroom night stand.

In my line of business (marketing and visual communication), we constantly have to come up with "ideas". Hence, sometimes in my office, I just want to be left alone, sit quietly, do nothing and THINK. This is very difficult to do when you are constantly interrupted….So now I have 2 post-it on the door:

" I am having a brainstorming session with my four "others"

Plse do not disturb my schizophrenic session"….

    it works!
