Fellow entrepreneur needs help with packaging and drop shipping
Time for a little of that StartupNation community spirit!
Anyone have expertise in packaging for small consumer products and/or drop shipping resources and strategies?
A fellow StartupNation entrepreneur has asked for help that would lead her to these resources.
Of course, soon, this will all be facilitated through our community section where you’ll be able to post such queries and get help from those who have knowledge of what you’re after.
Please respond with comments and contact emails if you can offer help with product packaging and drop shipping.
Thanks!

Hi,
I’ve been a print/ marketing consultant for the last 15 years and have had a lot of experience on different levels of drop shipping and packaging. There are certainly a number of variables involved. One, are you looking for packaging i.e. cartons, blister packing etc. for your products?
Secondly, drop shipping. Depending on the amount of handling, how many shipments and so on will determine what kind of operation you would use. Larger companies find that the UPS drop shipping services are convenient and prctical. They keep product inventory and ship as orders get filled. You could contact UPS directly for those services if there’s a fit.
On a smaller scale, you may want to look to the person producing, packaging and fulfilling your product. Many print packaging companies, for example, have on site ware housing and pick and pack operations.
Any sources I have are in the Chicago area.
Hope that helps.

Do you mean you want wholesale dropshippers ? Where you buy and sell an item and don’t ever see it.
A) Your buyer pays you the retail price
B) You pay the wholesale dropshipper the wholesale price and delivery charge
C) The wholesale dropshipper send the item to your customer direct.
That how I understand it. Many people are making a mint on ebay doing this. Also there are many lists of wholesalers and dropship companies you can buy and many membership websites, although the majority of these are just copied fro search engine results,, so be wary if you decide to hand over any money first.
If you want to source dropship companies then just google it, but you may have to search a few pages before you find the genuine ones who dont ask for money upfront.
