Entrepreneurship pays off! But what kind?
We need no convincing–living the life of an entrepeneur is incredibly exciting and gratifying.

I started my own business because I was topped out in my area of expertise AND not pursuing my passion. I realized that the things I did as a volunteer in my spare time could be turned into a business. I teach dance and cheerleading to kids. Not the typical business- but its working and I LOVE IT!

I started my business because of the lack of control I had at the company I was with even though I was in an executive position. I realized it wasnt just the company I was with, but the only way I could truely control my future was to own and run my own business. That was 15 years ago and I have never regretted one minute of it.

But what KIND of entrepreneurship is the BEST path? Perhaps you have some advice for those aspiring to get into business on their own. Franchisee? Part-time? Home-based? High tech or low tech?

I am not an expert on this because I have yet to start my business, but that day will come. If you know what people like, and you know those people’s limits, then running/owning a business is the job for you. All you have to do is know what you like, and your friends. Take a poll to see if your business would work out.
