jexbo grows with PR-Jill Exler’s Interview-Part 2

On Tuesday, I introduced you to fellow entrepreneur Jill Exler. When Jill had a challenging time publishing her own book, she decided to create a business to help others.

Today, self-published authors can sell their books at www.jexbo.com, and readers can find unique books and communicate directly with authors.

Jill used publicity to help start her business, and here are some more of her tips:

What benefits have you seen from your publicity activities?
In less than a year of using a PR firm, I’ve been interviewed by and mentioned in several newspapers and magazines, I’ve had radio interviews, and I’ve had press releases sent out that I didn’t have to prepare. I’ve also had lots of great advice about how to spread the word about my company in ways I would not have come up with on my own.

What tips do you have for other authors and entrepreneurs who want to sell more of their products and services?

It’s not enough to just have a good idea. You need to work, and probably harder than you’d thought, to make what you’re doing successful.
My advice to everyone who thinks they have a good idea is to not just dream about it, rather to work hard to get it off the ground!

Thanks for your great words of wisdom Jill! And for anyone interested in selling a self-published work, Jill is offering free listings at www.jexbo.com now during her beta-testing phase.

And if you have a great PR success story you’d like to share, or have questions, please contact me directly at [email protected]. I also provide free PR and online copywriting tips via my newsletter at www.rembrandtwrites.com. Thanks, and I look forward to talking to you soon!
