Hi - I would appreciate a critique of my new website - www.balanceforecaster.com

Overview

balanceforecaster.com is a financial planning and budgeting tool.  It differs from other financial websites in that it looks forward and shows you what your balance will be on any given day, rather than just keeping track of where you've already spent your money.  It will help you see transactions and future balances to help you plan and save better.

Development

I designed/developed this site myself using PHP, MySQL, jQuery, etc.  The home page was recently redesigned using 960g

Critique goals

I would like feedback on the design as well as the clarity - is the home page clear as to what the website does.  If you want to register for a free trial and critique the inner-workings, that would be great as well.

Thank you.  Other than family, you guys are the first to give me any feedback, so it will be very helpful to me.

I like your design, it is simple and not much scrolling to do. The only thing I'd like to point out is how bold typography distorts in safari. The links at the bottom, which are bold, look far too bolder.

To overcome this bug with safari, I do a separate rule for the elements I want to be differentiated, targetting safari, and I add instread a 2px shadow for the text.

Perhpas is no biggie for you

Bests, I like you idea

Thank you for your feedback and safari suggestion.  I will definitely take a look at the bold links in safari.
