With a move of residence right around the corner, I was thinking why do we have two cell phones with different carriers and a house phone?
well the 2 cell phones are mine which is nextel and allows me to easily keep in contact via walkie talkie, my circle all use nextel, my wife hates walkie talkie so she uses verizon, simple enough.
the house phone is mainly because the house is wired and its easy to pickup any phone in any room.
Now for the idea, how about a gadget that cradles the cell phone (maybe even charge it) and plugs into a wall phone jack activating all the other standard phones on that line. then I would have both worlds with one phone.
