And remember Village Photos and Photobucket, not to mention Ripway. All these are free sites for image hosting, with Ripway also allowing content--a free Web site. Anyone using eBay is familiar with the photo hosting, and that`s a way to maybe put your stuff up in front of the public. I`m just not sure how often Google or Yahoo! crawl those sites.

BTW, don`t forget to always use alternate text when you upload an image. Otherwise, the search engines can`t "see" your pictures, and can`t assign them or find them under things like Flick or Google Images.

I am an equine photographer and just recently found Startup and think I will meet some "like-minded" people.  I just put up my site, www.loradavies.com but I have a feeling I need to do a lot of work to it.  It`s a way my customers can view and order their photos, but being so new to web design, I`m seriously re-thinking the whole idea.  I put it up on the website critique forum hoping to get some feedback.

Any other equine photographers?

You have some amazing work.  I think you would be able to portray it better if your template for your main site matched that of your hosting site.  Too much of a dramatic change.  The colors that you have selected on your photo hosting site are very pleasing to the eye.

Believe me you didn`t want to see my first site.  It was awful I figured I could do it all myself.  I am more than positive that people ran from my site when I initially opened it to the public.
