Hello good people of the Startup Nation! My name is Erlend, I was born and raised in the wonderful country of Norway, and am currently residing in Canada, attending the Vancouver Film School's hectic game design program. These are exciting times for me!

On my spare time I busy myself as a dedicated manager of the jMonkeyEngine project; a game engine written in Java, effectively making it delightfully controversial. As well as building the team for the 'next generation' of JME, the 3.0 branch, the current stable engine and its surrounding community of 5k members needs to remain motivated and goal-oriented, so there is no shortage of work. Bringing me to StartupNation and its many associated services :)

At this point in time, my use of StartupNation revolves mainly around reading motivating and educating articles and bullet lists, and with these cool new features that just launched I will probably be hooking up with some groups and maybe see what local connections are around. It is going to be all about general project management and industry networking for a good while, but at some point in my life I will have my own independent game development company, and when that happens I will make sure to use this website for all that it's worth.

Like I said, I have followed SN for some time, but first now am I starting to interact with it on an active level. Am my first impression is, me and Mr. Startup are going to get along just fine!

and here I come...
