Hi,

I just thought I`d let you know the Microsoft small business ad, is really taking over!  I was trying to reply to a private message, and I must have moved my mouse near it and it kept popping up, and the message I was writing would disappear. I had to close the ad several times before I could , just, "send the message".

Yes, these are really bad ads.  I was writing a post and about 5 minutes into writing, the ad started speaking.  It was really annoying.

The response from the keyboard is slowed by a good three to four seconds... I am on a high-speed connection. For dialup or DSL users this must be crippling!

We have turned the Microsoft Small Business Summit video off.

Thank you for the prompt feedback. The StartupNation community is singularly important to us, and we are constantly striving to be innovative in the manner which we bring value to you.

We`ll re-assess this strategic initiative and continue to be bold in making this community and site valuable to you. And we`ll look to you to continue to provide us your fantastic critique and sensational ideas!

Hi, all. Adding to what Joel said, we at StartupNation agreed. You never know how an ad campaign is going to look or act on the site and this one was simply too taxing and in the way of normal conduct here at the site. thus... VAMOOOS!!!!

we are big supporters of the Small Business Summit and will continue to encourage you to learn from the presenters there this week (me included, pressure`s on!).

thank you so much for voicing your opinions and being StartupNation stalwarts on this matter - it`s critical that we let nothing get in the way of the benefits you receive from our free stuff!

onward,

we have another update for you on this ad:

to insulate our members, but to also uphold our commitment to the Summit conference and the valuable content they`re providing, we`re going to provide the video ads only in certain sections of the site but not at all in the community section of the site where you, our most loyal users spend time.

i hope that works!
