Not any one single thing stands out because the show contains so MUCH valuable information that leaving out even one item could make a difference. I like the three ways to market your product or service. Just one question ( for now ) = You say use people who are well know that are willing to promote your product or service. I don`t know any affluent people. How do I get my foot in the door?? Most won`t see you without you first being screened, for obvious security reasons. = akcepted1

Akcepted1,

I`m the one who recommended one of the Sloan Brothers` recent "Cool Companies of the Day" - Foot Petals. I`m a user of the product and learned about the product through various pop-fashion magazines I read.

She got a bunch of celebs to use her product and allow their photos to be used on her website promoting the fact that they use the product. I`m sure it`s made a big difference for her product sales.

Now, to your question: how do you get access to high-profile people? Well, I imagine there are stylists, agents, managers, friends of friends, etc., who know have contact with celebs. Maybe you should seek contact with people who know people, and that way you`ll get your product in front of them.

As for affluent people--people with money--that`s a different story. I know the Sloan Bros wrote an article about Networking with the Money People, and that might be helpful for you to read.

Good luck,

Fellow entrepreneur Allyson

I always look forward to the highlights section and  "cool companies" information...I always get a lot of great ideas and have reached out to several people who have turned out to be great contacts.  Such as "The Laundress" folks.

Overall, the whole site is inspiring.
