Hello Everybody!

I`m 16 years old, and starting a media design business called Orange
Web.
I highly respect all of you as wise business owners and want to know your
insight on how I am approaching the starting of this business.

My website is...

www.orangewebsolutions.com

I am hoping you will take the time to give me your criticism, ideas, things
to improve on, quality, and overall impression on the way I am starting
out.

Thank you for your time,

Nice design but the all flash site will hurt you more than impress. Not only that but even on my blazing internet connection the contact form took a few seconds to pop into view. any other users might browse away thinking you forgot to provide one.

I think you need more real text and content to help drive traffic in. If you site is just there as a referance and a place to make clients feel you out then it`s acceptable. But in the long runthe search engines are going to hate you, and anyone who`s not a big flash fan (they`ll have it installed but aren`t fans of it) will be turned off. Also most corporate sites aren`t heavy in flash so these potential clients could very well think your too "artsy" or cutting edge and not professional enough for them.

I see you`re getting there!  Congrats on the new business and your new website, it is great to see young entrepreneurs stepping out there.

The site is great, and straight to the point.  I`d add a little more orange to key sentences like "your site will STANDOUT among your competition."  Not too much, just a few key attention words.

Have you identified your target market?  Other young entrepreneurs who need websites would be a great start.  You are doing more than internet advertising I hope, word of mouth is the absolute best.

Be Well,

Dr. LA

Congratulations on getting started,

One thing I noticed that needs a bit more attention is in your lack of
examples.

it seems all or your images are stock and royalty free, which is not a bad
thing but does not reflect your own original thinking and approach.

it appears you`ve had one client with youth group website. Not bad, but
you might create some fictitious websites or pages that really show how
your unique esthetic sense can manifest and benefit a future client.

same goes for the logo developement section.

consider creating some alternate visions of companies you admire but
think should have a different look, just make sure you make it clear these
are mockups and not copyright infringements.

also consider posting logos and links to companies that you do admire
and why you appreciate their image and find out who did the work and
talk about how you interperate their work in the industry and how you are
different.

As far as the music production page goes, you will definitely need some
example tracks of beats, que`s and fills and maybe some remixes to get
someone to take it seriously, as I know somethng about the industry, you
also need to be more explicit about which studio you use and what
outboard equipment you process with.

It is impressive what you`ve come up with, hats off to you, these are only
my opinions which, as we all know, everyone has one, but think about it
and do what you will.

blessings,
