This Video Makes Bill Gates look Cooler than Steve Jobs

How does this sort of video change your perception of Bill Gates and Microsoft as a whole?

It doesn`t really change my perception of him at all.  I always kind of figured that you don`t get to level of success like he has without having the ability to laugh at yourself.  Sure we usually see the geeky business guy part of him but that doesn`t mean he doesn`t have fun.

And wow, he really got a lot of stars to pitch in on the vid.  Funny!

Life is meant to have FUN!  Enjoy it while you can.  One day we will not have to work, but will it be while we can still get around and laugh at ourself?  I hope that my day is sooner than later.

I`ve seen Gates be very funny in some past situations, so it doesn`t change my perception of him (or Microsoft) - but it is a great video.

When I speak to business owners and students, I always tell people "If you aren`t having fun in your job, business or career you shouldn`t be doing it."  My feelings about the issue came from a discussion I had with my dad.  He once told me how dissatisfied he was with his job at the time.  Stupid me; I asked the question: "Why don`t you find another job?"  His response was, "Because it`s only 10 years until retire."  I vowed then that those words would never come from my mouth.

I`ve always been a bit of a jokester - in my personal life and business dealings.  Years ago my mother told me "Nothing good will ever come from you being such a smart-ass.  Fast forward  some 30+ years and I had submitted the manuscript for my first book to my editor.  She called and said that the  basic manuscript was  good, but it wasn`t "Jeff enough."  When I asked her what she meant. she said "You need to more of a smart-ass."  My next call was to my mom....

I am a person that works to live, not living to work - and I`m going to have as much fun as possible along the way.

LOL!! I love it...

Nah, everyone knows Bill Gates, and the only people whose opinions may change would be the under 30 people who didn`t "grow up" with Microsoft. Even so, it`s fun to see a guy who can laugh at himself. Without that, and if you take yourself too seriously, you just sort of drive off a cliff.

Fun video....but good to know he`s out of Microsoft now. :-)
