It`s good to hear that you`ve found a place that resonates. :-) As you said, that`s the first step. What`s the next step? :-)

Thanks Craig.  I`ve been reading a lot of your posts since I joined.  You are quit an interesting cat and I`m going to enjoy bumping things around with you from time to time.

Anyway, the next step is to research my butt off.  One thing I`ve found in these forums is a lot of would-be entrepreneurs come in looking to have all of the answers handed to them, as if someone`s going to hand them a "magic manual" for their dreams.  I like to "hunt" for the answers first so I`m going to dive in w/a business plan, research it and educate myself.  That way at least I can focus my questions and have a decent conversation w/ the ppl. in here that I may do business with someday.  Or I could broadcast:  "So, I want to be rich selling my old sneakers.  How do I do that?"

But while I`m doing that I`ll contribute as much as I can as my adventures lead me towards my ultimate goal.

Everyone has something to contribute, if they`ll only just speak out. Consider that even folks who`ve tried various things that didn`t work could save time, effort, and money for others by writing it out.

One of the things I like about the SuN forums, being open forums, is that the focus leans toward people with a desire to start and run their own business. The "desire" is the operative word, and not so much "already doing." I sometimes think people get nervous about posting if they`re not yet running a business.

The hardest thing about starting a business, I think has to do with the isolation and lack of support so many people encounter. Even their family often tells them they`re nuts. A place like SuN proves that there are indeed a whole lot of people who have begun the process and it does actually work. :-) Sometimes, all it takes is some encouragment and brainstorming.
