Apparently, there are four different views of what an indep. agent is. Because I see an artists as a business owner and not an indep. agent.

Just for the sake of ease, let`s just say that all "indep. agents" are allowed. I`m not looking to get into a debate as to what is or isn`t an indep. agent so I`ll go with whatever at this moment because the point to this exercise isn`t for me to define an "indep. agent".

So having said that, can anyone here offer more advice as to how to add value to a group dynamic like this or did I stump everyone? :)

I guess my question is how does networking help in general?

I hear the term, I understand it, but so what? I`m a writer. Why would I want to be in a networking group? I`m also involved in Kathy`s startup, selling a single product. How would a networking roundtable help?

Is a networking group different from an advice council?
