I am a new member and excited to be part of this knowledge base.  I belong to a couple forums for on line business people and have learned so much since opening my store in April.  I have had a web site for 2 years archiving my mothers treasured recipes but thought I might get my feet wet in being and entrepreneur.   Taking my love of cooking and baking I naturally opened a kitchen store.  SMALL TOWN KITCHEN .

I hope to learn some tricks of the trade from website owners themselves.  Being a novice on the computer and coming from a generation where we didn`t have computers I have come a long way.
Thanks for letting me introduce myself and do me a favor and critique my site.

Your site is very simple and very clean.  Could use a more Modern look on the header and side navigation, but something tells me your demographic doesn`t mind too much.

First thing that comes to my mind is WHY YOUR STORE?  What`s your hook? Your niche?  Why wouldn`t I just go to LNT.com or target or walmart?  That`s what you need to define on your page.  The reason WHY they should buy from you.  Is it because it`s hard to find cast-iron stuff?  I really don`t know.

If you`re targeting amateur-pro chefs (you know fans of cooking shows, iron chef competitions and the like) maybe a more modern site is needed.  If you`re targeting housewives, hard-core bakers, older people who cook to eat, then it does the job.

But other than that, seems like a pretty good site, and good to see you`re living your dream.

Thanks Chris for your input...your not the first one that has asked why buy from us.  Its a good point and I will have to write something on my first page about shopping in your small town for products you need or want in your kitchen.  I`m glad you like my site I will keep working hard to improve it.  Thanks again and have a great day.
