The two reports you linked to didn`t address work-at-home businesses, they focused on work-at-home jobs. The Customer Service Reps are employed by the hour and paid by the calls they service. Selling increments of their time, but with the convenience of working at home.
Your post is under Homepreneurs which would make more sense if the reports were actually on home based businesses or entrepreneurs. I`ve been full-time, self-employed working from home for the past 21 years. No employer, no guaranteed income, no trading time for flat hourly rates, etc.
I`m sure other stories by Tory focused on true home-based businesses, but these are better labeled as telecommuting positional or home-based jobs - for people who are looking for a job.
I know I`m entering the conversation late, but I just discovered this thread and felt a little clarification was called for. In addition, it bumps your thread back up to the top.
