When launching a business one of the biggest questions small business owners have is: Who should I approach first? Of course they are doing all of the cute social media stuff and online marketing. But they want to know who- in my area can I approach?

I think that the answer to this question is actually an answer taken from the network marketing industry and what they educate their distributors to do and that is: Focus on the busy and successful people.

If you market websites - its very easy to approach someone who really has no clue about internet marketing and is also very lazy and sits around all day and offer to market his website. He just might agree - but then you know what happens? You will find yourself shleping him around on your back. He doesn`t respond to emails because he just sneezed and now he needs to rest, he is not picking up the phone because he doesn`t want to miss his favorite radio program......the shleping never ends. Then these people want to see results and when they don`t see results after about ..a day.. they find the time to call and kvetch to you.

You will find that dealing with busy and successful people - they will always find the time to meet with you and to get things moving. Over the past few months of working with clients I have clearly seen this difference between the busy and the non busy.

"Its easier to carry a thousand people on your back then to carry three": This means that its easier to work with a thousand successful people then to work with three people who are lazy and are to busy to be busy.

Have this in mind as you are launching your business
