I`m sure you`ve all heard the expression, crime doesn`t pay. Well it apparenty does, if you`re a genius:

Can you believe that? Your thoughts?

I know many former hackers that are now the top experts in computer security for some very well-known companies. They never did jail time ... but same premise.

My first thoughts are he isn`t that good if he got caught.

It used to be a very popular way to get a job for "security professionals." Break in and get a job offer. The trend shifted foot a while back and is not the norm anymore. Companies are pressing charges and are putting time into calculating damages.

I do believe that most people deserve a second chance, but I caution everyone from using "reformed hackers" for any of their security services.

I definitely agree with that.

It`s sorta like Lionel Luther in Smallville.

They had a 16 yr old kid here in Singapore who was apparently a talented hacker. When asked what his ambitions were, he said he wanted to become a security expert.
