I believe that Quickbooks 2012 is able to work effectively on the Lion OS. Although the older versions of Quickbooks did not work with the MAC OS, so you would have to look at the different products they offer on their website.

Although I have only used Quickbooks on a PC, from my experience it is a good product that is easy to use and has all of the functions that a small business would need.
